  1. Background:   Community Serve and Life Survival Organization is the national non-governmental organization registered for the purpose of serving community especially in health and economical issue. By having corporation with various donors, the NGO shall conduct research to discover areas for improvement especially in health and general maternal and child support. It has been established on 15th February, 2018 by the General Meeting at Geita Town, attended by 8 members and elite persons from different Town and advisor who is now a Permanent Secretary from Dar es Salaam. The researcher teams from Mzumbe University represented by Dr. Benedict Lukanima gave the great support on how to plan research strategies. The National NGO was formed according to the willingness of the members from different levels of the communities in view to deal with the present socio-economic and health problems in different rural areas by means of good understanding and sharing the problems each other and to find out the best way of solving the problems through free discussion, research, suggestion, support, and incorporation with donors and health care support to bring the community into betterment. By starting with the District in Tanzania that has poor health care we shall conduct regular awareness seminar to pave people’s awareness on health matters and improve people’s life through heath education.

 

  1. Year of Establishment: – CSLSO established in 2018.
  2. Project Activities: the CSLSO activities started from 15TH February, 2018.
  3. Vision:   We work to have healthy community that is liberated from poverty, diseases, with great awareness on heath knowledge
  4.  Mission Statement: CSLSO is working to increase national economy through supporting community members   who lives in hardship and improve their life through health education awareness and economic support.  Level and find access to sustain in the society with due dignity. Therefore CSLSO will take all necessary initiatives /measure towards empowerment and self-determinations of community people enabling them to solve their own socio-economic problems by themselves towards poverty elevation.
  5. Goal: To help and develop the distressed, needy, neglected and vulnerable people in rural socially and economically by providing them necessary assistance for sustaining their lives and conditions specially the women and children as well as entire community.

 

8. CSLSO Objectives   

i)To increase community health education and awareness

ii) To increase accessibility of health services especially in rural areas

iii) To give priority on women and child support.

iv) To initiate and implement tree health services

 

9. CSLSO is working towards achieving the following aims

  • To concertize and create health awareness among the people in the rural areas to enable them to concile with prevailing socio-economic situation and encourage them for active participation in socio-economic development program.
  • To undertake suitable projects and programs with special emphasis on Primary Health Care/Family Planning & Family Welfare/ Comprehensive Rural Development/Preservation of environment.
  • To undertake skill development training programs for women society on handicraft, hand loom, horticulture, pisciculture, and livestock and assist them by giving them short term loan for creating sources of income by themselves.
  • To assist deserving poor people by means of giving them short term loan for creating income generating.
  • To train up required number of volunteers on Family Health Care, Traditional Birth attendants and Functional Education etc.
  • To establish manageable Training Center for Community Development Training for various level of people.
  • To print or publish periodical magazines, books, pamphlets, leaflets or booklets that the CSLSO may considered desirable or helpful in the promotion of its objects.
  • To co-operate and assist in suitable joint venture with the governmental Organizations and agencies seeking the goal of redressing poverty and improving health status of common people or relief and rehabilitation at the time of any disaster.
  • To plan and execute Development, Relief and Rehabilitation programs within the terms of objects of the CSLSO
  • To establish, run and support Health Care Center, Clinic, Technical Training Center, Schools, grant, stipend and scholarship for higher studies at home and abroad and do all such other things as may be benefit for the community.
  • To all such other things as are necessary or conducive to attainment of the objects of the CSLSO.
  • Women empowerment organizing, mobilizing, developing capacity and skills and creating provision of inclusion in decision making process in family and community enabling them to become economically and socially independent.
